Hi, I have Hikvision DS-7104HGHI-E1 installed. I have been trying to see Live view on the web broswer and have tried all three (chrome, firefox & IE) and all of them are showing blank pages. I am able to access other setting of the Dvr and I am also able to playback the recording but cannot see the live view. The reason the Hikvision devices can't show the video on Google Chrome is that they rely on a feature called NPAPI developed by Netscape many years ago, and the support for such a feature is no longer available on Chrome. Perhaps your Hikvision camera shows the " live view failed " message because it's using an old firmware that still depends on the NPAPI technology. If that's the case, update the camera's firmware to the latest version that doesn't depend on the NPAPI anymore to work with live video. EmGPZh9.
